“Heather’s presentation to our Community High School students captivated them, despite the hybrid learning model that we were in at the time due to the pandemic.  Students who were using Zoom to participate remotely were every bit as engaged with Heather’s talk as the students who were physically in classrooms in our school building watching Heather on a large screen.  It was remarkable!  Ours is a small school in a fairly rural part of Western North Carolina, so many (most, probably) students had never even heard of Mount Kilimanjaro; however, Heather’s retelling of her climb and her energy drew the students (and the teachers!!) in.  The way her climb related to “real life” and perseverance struck a particular chord with this audience.  Her talk inspired us to plan an entire series of presentations that semester, all of which focused on perseverance.  She set the bar HIGH for every presenter who followed her!”
