It Starts With One

Last summer, my bestie and I got the opportunity to present at our annual OneHope Wine CRUSH conference. The theme of our presentation was “It starts with one.”

We shared about how just one person has the power to start a movement, how we each have the power within us to shift our mindset , why it’s so important to define your “WHY?”, and how EVERYTHING starts with just ONE.

This got me thinking about story telling and how powerful it is to find your voice, use it (even if it starts with a whisper), and share YOUR stories with others. 

I have found through sharing my stories that while my experiences are unique to me, others are able to connect with me as I share...and when someone shares their story with me, I am able to connect with them more easily.

I share a story or a thought or an experience and in turn, someone begins to share their story with me. I learn from them and they learn from me. And we go on to share those stories with yet another person, who then shares, and again, we learn...we grow...we “get better”. I

By sharing my stories, I’ve learned that I am not alone in my feelings, thoughts, or emotions.

Whether you’re feeling sad and depressed, happy and optimistic, or ALL the things in between, push fear to the side and SPEAK UP. 

Share that story that is uniquely yours.
