The Power of Your Breath

It’s been almost exactly three months since my last blog post.

Three months!?!

Quite honestly, when I sat down to write this piece, allllll the thoughts crept in.

Do I just share something after having shared nothing for the last three months? How do I go about doing this after so much time has passed? Does anyone even want to hear from me now?

But I quickly shifted gears, pushed that negative, crappy self talk to the side, and here we are…just. like. that.

Breathe.

Reset.

Begin Again.

The last three months have been about creating time to reflect on my journey to and back home from Mount Kilimanjaro. They have been about shifting my energy to a brand new business adventure, The Unicorn Pasture, which launched June 1st thanks to my beautiful now seven year old daughter and her amazing imagination. And they have been about taking a hard look at myself, my personal and professional goals, and how I invest my time and energy.

Over the past three months, I have been reminded time and time again what I love to do most…spread happiness, positivity, and uplift those around me. My intuition is telling me to stick with the things I love, the things that fill me up, the path of least resistance. And so that is what I will do.

I am here to spread happiness your way. I am here to be a light of positivity in your day. And I am here to uplift you when you are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, down, exhausted, or just plain stressed out!

Recently, I was asked to take part in a panel discussion for the National Association for Health Care Recruitment (NAHCR). When I learned that the topic was Recruiter Resiliency and Mental Wellness, I was psyched! Wellness is my jam and I couldn’t wait! During the panel discussion, we got to talk about the fact that SO MANY individuals are feeling overwhelmed in the workplace and in life in general (pssst….you’re not alone!). We talked about the importance of showing up for yourself by taking breaks throughout the day to reset your mind, body, and soul. And we talked about using the power of your breath to reset and begin again.

And so today, I am starting again here by sharing a guided meditation, The Power Of Your Breath. This was originally created to be shared as a resource for the panel attendees, but as soon as I finished recording it, I knew I had to share it with each of YOU. It seems so fitting to be re-energizing this blog with a meditation that reminds us that with each breath, we have a chance to re-energize ourselves, reset, and start again.
