After work yesterday, I went on an impromptu hike at nearby Purgatory Falls thanks to a friends suggestion to check it out. 

As I started down the trail, one foot in front of the other, boots sloshing through slush and mud, beautiful nature all around me, I kept thinking, “I just can’t get enough of this shit!”🙌🏻

✨I feel at home in the woods✨My face always hurts from smiling so big✨I feel excited to explore✨

You see, for me, being on trails out in the woods surrounded by nature at its finest, it’s like a drug. *I ALWAYS WANT MORE*

💥The fresh air. 
💥The adventure. 
💥The time to think.

There was some ice along the way, so I veered off the trail a bit. There was a waterfall I wanted to explore, so I dipped downhill off the trail for a few. I jumped from rock to rock at one point (which I LOVE because it reminds me of being a child💕) and realized, oops...off the path again. 

But guess what? 

Every time I’d go off course, I’d stop, look around, and spot a yellow blaze. Sometimes it was obvious, smack dab in front of me on the nearest tree. One time I found myself looking a few different directions, wondering what the heck I’d done, and finally finding one several trees ahead of me 🌲

Blazes on trails are meant to mark the way, guide the individual, and even reassure them at points where the trail may take an unexpected turn. 

This got me thinking 🤔

In life, there are “blazes” along our path...those signs that Universe gives us to guide us along the way.

💕The gut feeling you get saying nope, not a good idea💕The song you hear and then think of your friend and when you call her you find she needed to hear your voice today💕The rainbow you see on a clear, sunny day that you know is an angel saying hello💕

✨THERE ARE BLAZES EVERYWHERE✨

Sometimes when life gets crazy and we let all the noise consume us, we miss them completely and wind up feeling“lost” for a bit...

...But when we stop, tune in, and pay attention...WHEN WE QUIET THE NOISE, BECOME AWARE and really listen, we realize that the blazes are right there in front of us just waiting to be seen, to guide us along this journey we call life, especially when the path takes an unexpected turn❤
