Ask, Believe, and Receive
“I have a dream, and so I’m sharing it here because maybe one of you amazing ladies can help make it a reality.”
Those were my opening words on January 24, 2020 when I reached out to my women’s networking group, She Built This (SBT), to declare a goal and to ask for help.
I feel compelled to share that SBT is so much more than just a women’s networking group. It is by far the most amazing group I have ever been a part of. Thanks to Emily Aborn, there are nearly 1,000 female entrepreneurs that have joined together and created a supportive, positive, resourceful community to share, partner, brainstorm, and lift one another up. The genuine friendships I have formed and the forward momentum I have gained in my own Wellness Coaching business thanks to this group of exceptional females is simply amazing!
When I posted in the SBT group four months ago, I declared that I had a dream, a giant vision, to be on a FM radio station in the Boston area to share with listeners about my Kilimanjaro climb and my fundraising efforts for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in hopes of gaining additional traction from a fundraising perspective. I remember before event posting in the group that I already believed it would happen. It was just a matter of how.
Low and behold, the amazing ladies in the SBT group starting responding with suggestions, next steps, folks to contact, and a few were kind enough to connect me to individuals in their networks.
I knew I wanted to cast a wide net with my efforts, so on January 25th, the morning after my post in the SBT group, I found some courage and personally reached out via E-Mail to Ayla Brown of the Jonathan Wier & Ayla Brown Morning Show on Country 102.5. As a dedicated listener to their morning show, I remember thinking to myself, “Oh my God! It would be the best if I could somehow partner with them to make this dream come to life!”
You guys, I could not believe what happened next!
About 20 minutes after I sent my E-Mail off, my phone rang. I was a sweaty mess cleaning my house, radio blasting. Someone was calling with a Tennessee number and I thought no way!!! It can’t be!!! I ran as fast as I could scrambling to turn the radio down and pick up the call. It was Ayla Brown. She had taken the time on a Saturday to reach out to me and learn more about my story. She was one of the most kind, genuine people I have ever spoken with, truly interested to know more and to see how she could help. We talked about a few different ways that we could potentially partner together and decided on a plan.
Here we are, four months later, my new website launched, my fundraising information, inspiration blog, and Wellness Coaching business all pulled together and accessible to all of YOU in one awesome spot, and my dream, my vision, is now a reality.
Just last week, I am so proud to say that I was fortunate enough to be featured on the “It Feels Good” segment of the Jonathan & Ayla Morning Show. That same day, I received nearly $500.00 in new donations! With a goal of $30,000.00 total, it felt so amazing to receive the support of individuals that I had never met and likely would not have had a chance to connect with outside of this awesome opportunity.

As I sat back that afternoon and digested what had just happened, I was reminded that sometimes all we need to do in this life is simply ask, believe, and receive.
Ask the Universe. Ask your networks, your friends, your family, whoever you need to for help. Shout it from the rooftops!
Believe and feel wholeheartedly with zero doubt that your “ask” is happening. It’s just a matter of when and how the Universe sees fit.
Be patient, be open, and be ready to receive.
The next time you have a big dream, a giant vision, or even something that feels small to you and you find yourself sitting back wondering how the heck could this possibly become reality, stop yourself.
YOU HAVE THE POWER TO MANIFEST…TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE.
Get clear.
Remove all doubt.
Make your ask.
Believe it is happening.
Sit back and get ready with arms wide open to receive.
If your experience is anything like mine, when your “ask” is delivered, when you receive your gift, you will feel so overwhelmed with gratitude and marvel at the magic that has occurred.
